Pear
		The diffuse-porous pear wood is one of the fruit woods and distinguished by its fine-fibrous texture. Its colour is a light reddish brown. The pear tree´s trunk is quite short, and the species is rather rare in Europe. This is the reason why pear wood can be found first and foremost in inlay works and exclusive furniture, but because of its high density is also appreciated for the manufacture of musical resonant bodies, such as recorders.
