Oak
		Its ring pores are the reason for the rough fibrous texture of oak wood. Depending on where the tree grows, its wood colours vary from a light yellowish to a dark brown. As oak wood is very weatherproof, it is perfectly suited for both indoor and outdoor construction. Its beautiful texture has turned it one of the most important furniture wood types, and due to its high strength it has become a favourite flooring material - and it is oak casks that lend a characteristic scent to whisky and wines.
