Ash
		The ash exhibits a ring-porous wood. Typical are its brown core and its white outer growth zones. Its lively texture and surface grain pattern makes it a particularly attractive material for interior design. However, ash wood is also suited for the manufacture of sports gear such as tennis rackets and baseball bats, tool handles and ladder rungs, as it is tough and shows a high bending strength. It is also suitable for boat construction.
