Hornbeam
The wood of the hornbeam is greyish to yellowish-white in colour. Its wood is the heaviest of all domestic deciduous trees and has outstanding strength and resistance properties. Hornbeam wood is very hard and nonetheless supple. It is used for making tools and piano mechanisms.
